Overhyped items:
Apple Products: iPhones iPads are overpriced for what you get (they are smart phones for people who don't know how to use a smart phone). A more capable Android device with equal build quality is usually ~$100 cheaper.
Macbooks and MACs are greatly overpriced, you can get a PC of equivalent specs for half the price if not better. The OS is UNIX and if you really want an UNIX style OS go with MINT or Ubuntu, they are actually more capable then OSX is and generally easier to use. There is no reasonable reason anyone should wait in line for days to get any of their products.
Bose Products: Overpriced, under-quality garbage. Similar to Beats audio you are paying for a brand name only. The actual products are greatly outclassed by items 1/3 the price. Bose used to be an outstanding product back when they made the 601s, but that is more than two decades ago. They have failed to innovate since then and still live off of massive advertising, product placement, and brand recognition instead of actual quality.
Any High-End brand name clothing and accessories company that doesn't necessarily have the quality to back up their popularity, e.g. Coach, Prada, Luis Vuitton, Jordan's, Starter Jackets from back in the day, Non-Athletic Nike merchandise (Most of their so called basketball shoes are not actual athletic wear and just "look cool").
Any recent DC movie and franchise other than the Dark Knight series.
