Good sales for a new IP and yet it's still not a big seller. Especially when none of the sequels could beat it.

Still not a big seller? There are only a handful of games released every year that sell more than 7 million copies. That likely puts it as a top 200-300 in the highest selling video games of all time. That's higher than any Metal Gear Solid game,  or Uncharted game has ever sold.

I think you're putting the "big seller" bar a little too high.
