Call me crazy, but I think Nintendo, intentionally or not, had the right idea about graphics. Even though they're behind, there's only so far Sony/MS and any other company can go before they hit a plateau. When Nintendo's iconic characters get there last, they will have the last set of graphically impressive games from franchises people wanted to see in as high of graphic proficiency as possible.
