Gender, sex, whatever you want to call it, isn't something chosen. It's an identifier of your genitalia. Period.
If you identify sexually as something else, fine. You still have a penis, you're still male.
There are instances of ambiguity, but not nearly as many as overly progressive people would have you believe. What we have going on here is a fad. It's cool to be transgendered, or to identify as something other than their actual gender.
And I wouldn't care about this if it didn't undermine legitimate gender displaysia. There are thousands of people playing along with a Tumblr fad right now, making it difficult for people with legitimate problems to be taken seriously. I grew up with a girl who mentally needed to be a boy, and she went from Heather to Heath thanks to it being treated as a legitimate mental condition. But if he had those problems now? He'd be another fad victim in the eyes of society.
