I turn my PC on today, start up my browser, and none of the pages will connect. They try but it's like I'm on dial-up. I'm cursing my ISP but then I think to check updates and there it is: W10 is downloading the Nvidia update I've already installed. Unlike a normal download, it's also eating ALL of my bandwidth. No way to stop the download, either. After some digging, it seems you can at least stop device drivers from downloading, though they sure as hell don't make it easy by putting that setting where you'd expect. Arrogant bastards. Seriously, why the HELL is this happening while I'm trying to use my PC? I logged on for a reason and could not perform that reason. That's an OS failure. |
