Think what you will. I just think you are reading way too much into what a couple of publishers are doing. EA is still having an event RIGHT next door to E3, TWO days before the event. That doesnt mean they are skipping E3. If it werent for E3, EA wouldnt be there...

What is Nintendo going to show?

Pokemon Sun/Moon? The game every person into Pokemon has already decided to buy...

Paper Mario Color Splash or Federation Force? The games that got a petition to be cancelled...

Some games that were released in Japan months ago?

They dont have much atm. Thats just the sad fact of it. Im sure they will be there in full force next year.

What they have to show this year is leagues better than what they had to show last year. I'm sure they won't be, because E3 is losing relevance for them. They already set the stage for what they plan on doing now. Nintendo Directs are slated for a format change, and that format change will likely premier with the NX reveal. If they do that in September, they just set the ball rolling for an annual conference they can host every year, just like Apple does, where they have a huge information blowout that they used to have for E3.

Then they just treat E3 the way they treat every other gaming expo from now on.

I guess we`ll find out soon enough. I just think if Nintendo didnt care for E3 they wouldnt have shown up at all.
