| Intrinsic said: Everything you are saying is based on this supposed need to launch a more powerful console along side PSVr. You are wrong. The biggest selling point of PSVr is that there are already 40M+ PS4 owners. That will always take priority over whatever new yet to be had PS4neo owners. |
You are saying we can't expect Sony to advertise PS4k version as PSVR experience, even while selling to PS4.0 base?
If qualty of experience doesn't matter in establishing a new format, only install base, why not PS3/VR?
Of course, Sony is making sure PSVR will sell to PS4.0 base. They are also making sure that any complaints hinging from PS4.0 power
are neutralized by PS4.5 being available, so PSVR itself isn't judged poorly, it' s understood as stepping stone to VR experience.
Or ultimately... Why is Sony co-launching them? They aren't going to sell any more consoles in the next year by launching 4K.
They could have dropped prices further just by existing 28nn fabs getting cheaper at this stage in the game, and sell more @ lower price.
