I just got my hand on a copy of the magazine and some of the internet translation has been fucked up.
I do speak German.
They complained that the story was too bewildering but they never complained about too much shooting per se. What it says is that the Boss battles are not nearly as tactical as in past MGS games and rely too much on simple run and gun tactics and not enough immagination. The graphics also recieved some negative feedback.
