I happen to have a bit of a crush on Lydia Valentin :-O

My goals are a bit more modest... but I guess I'll post anyway.

My primary goal is to lose weight. I'm at about 180, down from about 210, but it's been frustratingly slow going the last month.

I can run about 3 miles (I think that's just about a 5K). Fairly slow though, at about 32 minutes. I want to get up to about 5 miles, then work on speed.

In terms of weight lifting and such, my goal is to be able to do a set of ten with my bodyweight for bench pressing. I'm losing weight and getting stronger, so the numbers are getting close together. As of now, I can do three sets of 10 with 115 lbs. Hoping to be at 135 by the end of June at the latest. With weight loss as my main goal though, there's a limit to how quickly I can go since I can't put on much, if any, mass. I'm mainly weightlifting to keep as much muscle as possible while losing weight.

Another goal is to be able to do a set of 10 pull ups. I have a lot of trouble with these, so I've been using an assisted pull up machine. I can do 3 sets of 10 with a 30 lb assist.

One I get down to my target weight (about 150, but may be 5 lbs more or less depending how I look and feel when I get there), then I'll try to add some muscle and shoot for bigger goals in that realm.

Just remember about diet and sleep and you'll be golden! You need to eat at a calorie deficit to lose weight, so burn those calories + add strength with your exercise/weightlifting, and power up with good foods and a good sleep. You've got this!

Welcome aboard to the both of you, and good luck!

Thanks! :) Sorry, I missed this post somehow.

Anyway, since last posting, I made it to 100 pushups in a set, now I am focussing on doing them more slowly to build my endurance.

Also started doing 4 sets of 40 situps every other day, to try to build my abs, along with 4 sets of 30 leg raises. After many months, I think I'm finally starting to see results in terms of visible muscle, which is encouraging.

You mean 100 pushups in a row? Impressive! Keep at it!
