They noted that they had nearly 500,000 customers who had registered interest in buying a Wii U and over 1.2 million software reservations. They noted that this was double the demand that they'd seen for Wii and that this meant that the console would likely have a strong launch. They even went as far as saying that they might not be able to satisfy demand. |
WiiU actually had a decent launch. It's what came (or rather, didn't come) afterwards that killed it.
