I've been concerned for quite some time that this could prove to be a huge dud... When you see the full complement of characters and the portion of Warcraft's history they're trying to tell, that's just faaar too much to introduce and do justice for in a single film.

That and the majority going to see the film won't have played the MMO let alone all those reviewing the film. The film has to be based off of the MMO's story driven lore, so reviewiwers saying "well it should be able to stand on it's own legs" doesn't even know how WoW works, if it were to tell a completely different story then it simply wouldn't be WoW and like the majority of video game movie adaptations, they all diverted away from the source lore material and they all ended up flopping one way or another.

Video game movies for the most part just won't click with the casual audience who don't know nor play any of the games the movies are based on. I expect Creed to also suffer and from the looks of the trailer, the movie itself seems to be stepping away from how the story started with the first game, a sign that already shows of a bad film adaptation.

I like WoW and it's world/lore, so bad movie or not I'm still going to go watch it with a few mates.
