Otherwise, I guess you just have to keep watching your little W10 popup box.  I certainly wouldn't trust Microsoft not to try something else on the fishy side.  You can turn off auto updates or recommended updates, if you want to go that far.  Just remember that Microsoft considers 'X' to be consent.
