I'll believe it when I see it. When DLC was first marketed to gamers it was going to be additional content for existing popular titles. Ultimately DLC wasn't what it was touted to be. Instead getting more expansive gaming experiences. The vast majority of DLC is just content ripped out of the base game and sold back to consumers. There are few developers that due DLC as originally intended but they are extremely rare.

The bulk of 3rd party developers can't even optimize their titles for one Xbox or PS4 platform. To think they'll be able to do the same for multiple incarnations of the same platform is just plain foolish. One of two things will happen. They'll optimize the games for the original platforms and the new renditions have games that sport minimal upgrades at best. Or they'll build the games around the upgraded platforms and the original platforms will receive poorly optimized messes.

That's a lot of speculations to tackle, be an optimist my friend, it makes you age slower and graceful.

I'm a realist. One only has to look at the poorly optimized games right now to get idea how much worse things will be when developers have multiple target specs. You think QA is bad now. It's only getting worse from here.
