Sounds legit and it makes sense with their vision to bring W10 to as many people as possible at a low cost. Apple and Google both have a streaming device, it seems logical for MS to join them.
As for the VR sku for next year, it's interesting they have chosen to partner with Oculus instead of launching their own or partnering with Valve. It looks like MS and Facebook might go on an offensive next year with Oculus.
