It has some sweet variety in gameplay types , too. Surprisingly better swimming in Uncharted, too! Tomb Raider wins in exploration, puzzles, character progression and customization Gunplay, set pieces, are pretty much a tie to me. Tomb Raider has more ways to dispatch an enemy but Uncharteds scenes are so frenetic and fun. Tomb Raider's foes seem more like people and Uncharteds seem more like cannon fodder. Uncharted has lots of moments where you're just walking and talking. These moments build the story but once you've seen them, you've seen them. Tomb Raider pretty much always gives you something to do but the story isn't very engrossing (sadly). It really could go either way depending on the mood. I'm happy to have played both. I think people coming into RotTR after playing Uncharted will be disappointed because of the lack of emotional impact and weaker graphics. People playing RoTR first will miss the upgradeable skills and ingenious puzzles. Both are excellent but I'd give the nod to Uncharted at this point. I still have a few chapters to go in U 4, though. |
A well written opinion!
