A hand, everybody always loses hands.
Not only the big characters like Luke and Anakin, Anakin twice by the way, but also plenty of small ones. Count Dooku loses both, Mace Windu, General Grievous loses two, Zam the bounty hunter working for Jango Fett in Episode II, C-3PO loses limbs a couple times, that guy in the bar in Episode IV that harasses Luke, the Wampa in the ice cave, Darth Vader of course which means Anakin three times... Who'd I forgot? Some droids and Stormtroopers probably...
Anyway the point is, everybody always loses hands.
