Once the formalities of "Congrats Naughty Dog xDD :DDD" and other nonsense was out of the way, I noticed that many NeoGAF members share the sentiment that sales are a bit lower than expected or, dare I say, disappointing, and these are not trolls or juniors, these are sales age regulars.

Not sure why everybody is so staunchly opposed to the notion that Uncharted 4 may have underperformed. Is it so strange to think that perhaps a PlayStation exclusive could outperform an Xbox exclusive like Halo or Gears? Despite the massive success of the console and Sony's best efforts, Uncharted 4 still failed to perform above or on par with either of these games, or many of the multiplatform games of this gen and last.

Okay, I'm growing tired of this.

People have been patient with you and actually tried to explain why the launch has been a success, offering numbers and trying to reasonable. You consistently spin things around, move the goalposts and ignore what's right in front of you. You're offering no numbers of your own, no data, nothing of any substance but worst case scenarios and "he said she said" stuff from another forum.

Either offer up hard data with proof of what you're saying or simply do not post.

Already did that. It's a circular argument because 1) we don't have reliable UC2, UC3, and TLoU numbers for 1:1 comparisons 2) We don't know Uncharted 4 legs 3) we don't know the developmental and marketing budget and Sony's internal expectations.

Here's a post I made in another thread that outlines my thoughts with citations. But like I said, we can't concretely say one side is right and one side is wrong. Difference is I don't insult and accuse other of trolling for sharing a different viewpoint than myself.

No one knows (the budget) except Sony. We do know it's PlayStation's largest ever marketing campaign, the largest team size (nearly doubling from Uncharted 3)*, had developmental issues and the story was completely rewritten, and it has been the focal point of E3, PGW, PSX, and so on for years now.

I just think it's reasonable to suggest as the developmental and marketing budget swells, that expectations for sales increase.

*I recalled seeing an article about how Uncharted 4's team had doubled since Uncharted 4, however I could not find this article. All I could find was they were at ~170 employees as of Feb. 2012 and are at ~300 employees on LinkedIn currently. Nearly a doubling in size since Uncharted 3.
