I thought it was easy to follow why spiderman and antman was in the movie, IM needed a way to capture and restrain cap side without hurting them hence he got peter parker who developed a really strong artifical spider web which could do the trick, and cap needed to break in and steal the quintjet hence antman who they knew broke into the avengers facility.
