The problem here is that there is no generally accepted definition of AAA other than "reallreallygood". Some people use it to mean games with an average score of 90+, in which case MGS4 would be the PS3's first AAA exclusive. Most PS3 fans don't like this definition. =P |
My definition for a AAA exclusive is pretty strict:
1. Not available on any other platform(including PC).
2. 90 percent or greater on gamerankings.
3. Full priced retail game.
4. Widely regarded as good, and very popular.
360: Halo 3
Wii: Mario Galaxy, Smash Brothers: Brawl
PS3: Nothing
Games like RE4:Wii Edition, Twilight Princess, Gears of War, Okami Wii, Oblivion, GTAIV, and Orange Box all have 90 or above rounded averages, but they are also all multiplats and therefore don't count in my exclusives list, though exclusives lists only matter for fanboys and sales, because for gamers as a whole, the less exclusives the better. I wish all the PS3 only owners could play Mario Galaxy and I wish all the Wii only owners could play Lost Odyssey, but exclusives prevent that. As fanboys we love when our console gets a great exclusive, but as gamers, we shouldn't care, or rather, we should proactively want our consoles games ported to other systems so their greatness can be shared with other gamers.
I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.
NO NO, NO NO NO.
