Having just seen the film it's entertaining but suffers from similar problems to what BVS did only where as the latter was overly slammed for them the former seemed to be given a free pass. They're not bad films tbh as they're entertaining but they tried to fit too much in one package.
In regards to Civil War the story was easier to follow then its DC counterpart but was just as all over the place when it came to pacing, BVS didn't give you as much to follow story wise and ended up stretching some sections out too long while here it's the opposite where too much is thrown at you in minimal portions.
The best thing out of CW was Black Panther and the Spiderman cameo although I agree as slick as the latter was he had no business being in the film he was thrown in much in the same manner Wonder Woman was in BVS. Ironic that Black Panther and Wonder Woman are the most memorable things out of the movies not solely about them although BP at least has relevance to the story of the film.
My issue with the film is that yeah Captain America's actions are somewhat silly but Loki sure no one can really account for that yet the whole fiasco is off the back of chaos that is the result of Shield and Stark's actions while the team who had no hand in causing it and had to clean the whole mess up are given an ultimatum for stopping what others caused. They also knew Team Cap were at the airport to try and fly to another country and didn't think to simply jump in and fly the airship he commandeered away beforehand or have Vision who essentially is a God destroy it when the fighting broke out? I'll give DC one thing though they may need to work on their structuring of their films but they handle their villains better as Zem must be the most insignificant character in the film and probably the most insignificant villain in any comic book movie, seriously it felt like they just cut to scenes with some random extra each time he was shown.
Either way the film is entertaining but I don't get how it can have the same flaws as BVS but yield the opposite reaction from critics, one was overly criticized the other was overly praised, they're not bad films they still good imo.
