Have fun. But why decide to play a console because your friends play it. I think it's a big mistake. Save up for a 360. I just hope you don't RROD first week :P Actually I hope you do :P So you can see what you are sacrificing :P j/k Oh Well, Your choice - crowd follower :P

i too think its a big mistake.

A. He has already owned a 360 and has already got rid of it.
B. The way he talks about each system shows he likes the Ps3 better.
C. Playing with your friends is only a bonus if you like what your playing (goes with B)
D. Peer pressure is a stupid reason to do anything. (Being nagged to do something is not the only form of peer pressure)
E. He plans on buying another Ps3.... why not just keep the Ps3 and buy a 360.
F. This deal looks fishy (Like many have pointed out)
G. Judging by his sig he wants a lot of games that are Ps3 exclusive this year.
H. Judging by his previous posting history he isn't into upcoming 360 games.
I. Time and time again he complains of not being able to pay for games and having to save up for months to get one... How does he plan on paying for online?

J. MGS4 is less than a month away!

Honestly I've never talked anyone out of buying a console (Just the other day I talked someone into buying a 360 with the HDD instead of the core system. He was buying it for Guitar Hero. He wanted to go cheap. I told him about the Wii version even), but with the reasons I posted above I believe its a bad decision in this particular case.

@Fila - or something?
