So GTA VI has reached the monumentas number of 65m copies sold worldwide. That is amazing for any videogame, there are whole franchises that, after years of releasing games, haven't got CLOSE to this one game. And it's still selling, this looks like it's going to outsell Wii Sports and become the best selling console game ever released. Naturally this puts a lot of pressure to its eventual sequel.
One of the key factors of GTA VI is being released as a crossgen game, in the exact moment when both the 7th gen console games were selling strong and the 8th gen consoles were starting to grow fast. Otherwise, even for a GTA game, those numbers would have been hard to reach.
