It's not necessarily a bad game... but it's geared towards a particular type of player.

There's a lot of grindy kind of stuff, and the crux of the gameplay is simply crafting better and better weapons and armor so you can be better at hunting, so you can get better items, so you can craft better weapons and armor....................

It's a game that you have to be willing to put a lot of time and effort into, and it's a lot of repetition.  I played Tri for the Wii, and while I didn't enjoy it all that much, I definitely see how other people might.

I'll probably get it for the 3DS because I like those kinds of games. Unless it gets to the point where I'm completely sick of it, I'll play through.

 

Great for long trips as well
