Welcome to the club! Been there, done that. Then came the NDS and Wii, and now both gone, I'm back in the disinterest group.
I can feel your pain with all the stupid rumours and hype that has no ground whatsoever.
Luckily, there's Virtual Console and used games for my old consoles.
