I've always wanted to know but you never really gave a specific reason ... 

They feel homogenous and uninteresting, an extension of the same old AAA formula we've been playing since 2007. Yes, I know, the indie scene. But try as I might, I still find the vast majority of indie titles simply subpar in terms of quality and too fixated on gimmicks.
