It'll give them PS4 style performance with the possibility of portability too. New form factor is probably appealling to them too because it's new/different which always is something Nintendo craves. If the recent rumors about Polaris 10 & 11 are true, Polaris 11 is still a 50W chip. I think that would be a bit too much for a handheld.
