I absolutely love movies/films. I'm a collector of physical relases of movies I like.
Lately I've been getting back to watching films often, in these past couple of years I lost interest but still bought a few ones here and there.
My personal favorite genre is horror, specially Asian horror as the way they interpret horror really appeals to me. Its somewhat difficult to keep up with new releases in the genre, mostly due to the decreasing amount of films being distributed here in the West, but I try to purchase/stream the available ones in order to support the industry.
To me, films are mostly entertainment, but some films go beyond that and become experiences. What many directors/actors/crew do to create pieces of media that go beyond 90 minutes of entertainment, is amazing.
ndAnd regarding negativity, I'm clueless as to what's that all about. I tend to isolate myself from the mainstream media where I live (USA), making it hard for me to keep up with whatever is going on in the music and films industry, unless the news are literally everywhere and almost impossible to dodge if you have internet. So really... All I know is that most Hollywood flicks don't appeal to me and I couldn't careless about them.
