I've notice that I'm getting so many free games from programs like Games with Gold, PlayStation Plus, and EA's Vault, that I have a very large backlog. The result of this is I'm buying fewer new games. So it might be hurting developers.
On the other hand, without such programs I would have never played Crackdown and been excieted for Crackdown 3 coming out later this year. So it makes me more likely to buy that game.
I still bought Witcher 3, eventhough I never really played the free version of Witcher 2 (I wasn't that crazy about it.)
So I'm just wondering, do we have any numbers to how these bonus game programs have been affecting sales?
PS It is nice to have more options when people come over and want to play 'something' but I do feel a bit overwhelemed with non played games.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned. Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon! |
