I think Amiibo will ultimately suffer a similar fate ... how many times will you be able to get people to buy the same characters over and over again. I think by now most major Nintendo characters and even many of the bigger third party characters are available, so Nintendo is going to have to rely on getting people to buy secondary versions perhaps?
