AAA = Big gudjet games usually published by any of the major game publishers. 

AA = Smaller budget game usually published by developers or in partnership with a major publisher. Little to no marketing budget. 

A = indie title. 

Don't know what about any of that is confusing it all over the place. If anything your reason for not answering seems more like a cop out than a reason. 

I doubt anyone would describe AAA status any differently. unless you want to create yours. AAAA?????? First I ever heard of it. 

There are B and C, I wouldn't say Indie goes as A.
