Maybe they decided to skip it due to having COD and the backlash of Battlefield 4, Battlefield Hardline and SW Battlefront.
Honestly, who could blame them? People have complained about all 3 of those games from graphics over gameplay, horrible DLC practices, buggy releases and so on.
Who could of predicted the dramatic turn around and great love the next Battlefield would get? Pretty amazing off of one trailer. Seems MS putting their logo at the end of the trailer paid off as it might be one of the reasons for Battlefields new found love. It will be interesting to see if it results in increased sales or simply just positive PR and praise.
