I'm still going to say: Modding the actual original console. Will always be better, than even if someone makes perfect identical hardware. It be cool if these guys just sold the CPU and PPU chips, and can install them into a broken NES. If what you say is true. They are that 100% identical. And aren't an emulator. Why does this thing only output upto 720p? The Hi-def nes does all current standards.
And the NES/Famicom are the easiest systems to mod, compared to later Nintendo systems. As long as you can work on electronics.
