Windows 7 is running slow on my friend's PC. Any good alternative?

With shitty hardware like that, I doubt he could run any DX12 games ... 

Regardless,  games are only going to be more DX12 focus in the future. Why cancel out on an entire APi. Might as well grab Win10 for it.
