ummm different cars/bike/character combo has different power sliding/drifting abilities. My brother who good with the dolphindasher and drifts very well with it cannot drift worth shit with the bullet bike that I use.
edit : forgot there an automatic or manual option which the game powerslide/drift for you or you can do it yourself.
