That is one of the best theories I've heard in a long time! And he has a lot of video evidence that could support it! At the very least, that is way too coincidental of connections to not have some kind of connection to the gods. It's just down to his two theories or something like them. Personally, I hope it's theory #2. The gods going rage on the world and Link no longer being the hero of the gods would be insane. It would basically be like god of war and Zelda combined with Link having to take on the gods lol.

I've been thinking that Link may not have to defeat the gods per se, but would at least have to pacify them. The reason I'm thinking this is because of princess Mononoke. People have been noticing how similar this game, and the entire opening sequence we were shown at E3 look to Princess Mononokes opening, pretty much from the get go. And if this theory is true, there will be significant story connections too. In princess Mononoke prince Ashitaka has to straddle the line between humanity and the forest gods to try and pacify them. He comes into the conflict as an outsider, a neutral force, as an observer. He intervenes only to try and put things right between them and for his own benefit (he got cursed), never fully choosing one side. In this cenario Zelda obvously would be San the human princess living among the gods, like Ashitaka belonging neither here nor there. It could make for a very interesting and compelling story.
