Nintendo might been busy changing Sheik in Smash, but fact is Sheik was a person referred as a "man" by both Princess Pluto and the Official Guide, that had manly grunts, used japanese pronouns for male when speaking and is physically different than Zelda. That's actually what says the most over anything, really.

But sure, if you want to use the Sheik in Smash as proof of anything, go ahead. Bear in mind that Smash isn't canon in Zelda's history, especially since the developer is different than the original creator of OoT, the same way as you discredit the manga approved by Anouma for being a separate vision.

Null and void points because one Sheik is a disguise Ruto thinking it's a male as well as the speaking and all is the whole point and two the guide is done so to avoid spoilers. Sheik is also not that physically different from Zelda either indicating it's down to attire, the magic was used to darken skin tone slightly but lets not get to far into that as by the way speculation is going now days people will be claiming Zelda turned into a Latin or black person at this rate.
