But not significantly so. Irrelevant point anyway, since game quality/minority forum go-ers opinions do not directly correlate with sales for either the software or the hardware. Great/forum loved games can sell like crap while crap/forum hated games can sell amazingly.

"Sales of some game dont equal impact they have on system. " Stop saying this nonsense if you can't provide proof. I've already explained how sales are the only way to tell. Also you're insane if you're trying to tell me Galaxy did more for the Wii than NSMBWii, and if you are atleast provide proof since the sales clearly say otherwise. Actually don't, those games aren't relevant for determing these franchises relevance nowadays. Just explain to me how cold hard sales data doesn't matter at all/less than minority opinions that have no direct correlation to sales.

Actually what he says here is true, some games only sell to the userbase that's there already, they just decorate the library and don't really pull in new buyers, in this case he's right as 2D Mario sells well to those already on the platform but doesn't bring in new consumers, numbers alone don't tell the actual story. Games like Splatoon, 3DW, MK8 and so on would have brought in new consumers as seen by sales spike when they were released and the baseline improving, the people brought in by these games would eventually buy 2D Mario as it's a nice game to pass the time by it was never one to buy a whole platform for.

NSMB only sells to those already there that's one reason Wii U had no momentum after launch as everyone mistook its success for that of a system seller when it's just a good seller to what ever userbase is present, believe me if it really was a system seller it would have hit its current mark in under a year and given the Wii U more momentum. To put things in perspective yes Galaxy did do more for the Wii than NSMB Wii as Galaxy's 10m sales would have had a good percentage of system sales in it where as the 28m sales of NSMB Wii were more than likely sales to the 70m or so (at the time) users who had already bought the Wii because of other games.
