i don't know. I think it's been somehow adjusted.

According to Sony as of the ending of March 2016 a total of over 40M PS4s had been shipped.

VGC has the PS4 at 40.4M as of Apr 23rd with about a week lest to go in the money of April. by the end of April I expect Sony shipments for that month to be around 1.2-1.3M anyways. which leaves around 800k-900k in the channels.

it seems pretty on point. though I expect shipments to be higher this month than they usually are for non holiday months. Because if uncharted sales.

VGC has PS4 hardware numbers at 39.9 million as of Apr 2nd and Sony had them at 40 million at the end of March 2016 as you said. There's no possible way the numbers are as high as VGC is saying they are. It's probably overtracked by at least 500k if not more.

GC did their adjustments, but I know that the numbers kinda add up at the end. If at the end of March Sony had shipped 40M PS4s, and we know that Sony shipps out around 1M-1.2M PS4s each month, it means that for April Sony had shipped a total of at least 41M-41.2M PS4s.

So if VGC has it at 40.4M as of April 23rd, that means there are still around 900k PS4s in circulation. That's not an unreasonable number. Even less so when u consider that March shipments are now also entering the channels. So I dont think it's overtracked at all.
