It is amazing how many people think this platform is going to have trouble passing the PS2. This is a completely different ball game, and a much larger market.PlayStation is no longer in the traditional console business. PlayStation is now part of the Optimized PC/Smart Device market.
Neo is just the start of new devices running on the PlayStation OS. There will be many more PlayStation OS devices launched in the future, all of which will add to the PS4 or PlayStation userbase. As, some other members have been saying, the days of starting over at Zero are over. Sony knows this as well, and that is why they built PS4 as a scalable platform, which will be supported for many, many more years that a traditional console.
PS4 will be the first console to sell 200M over its multiple itterations, and it will most likely be the first 300M console as well. Don't be surpised if wee see a handheld/phone based on the PS4 tech, in the next year or two, along with a tablet/laptop to round out the offerings. Sony is creating their version of iOS built around gaming, and entertainment, and they know they need 100's of millions of users across multiple device, in a unified ecosystem, if they want to stay relevient. So far they are making all of the right moves.
Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Help make existence a beautiful thing.
