Yes, prefer empires, given 8 empire seems weaker than the past. 

Well, I played a bit of Samurai Warriors and it was a lot of fun. The Samurai series is a bit non-traditional compared to Dynasty. If you're ok with some of the more over the top style of it, you'll have fun.
