And that's it. No brand new, unannounced games. MAYBE another remaster or two like Skyward Sword HD but that's a stretch.

They'll announce 3DS games there, sure, but nothing Wii U related. In this new fiscal year Kimishima is officially done with the Wii U.

And yet most people who voted in the poll think that there are three or more unannounced Wii U first party games left.

If you notice in Nintendo's financial statements, 27.36 million units of Wii U software was shipped (or sold digitally) from April 2015 through March 2016.

Nintendo is forecasting only 15.00 million units of Wii U software shipped from April 2016 through March 2017. That dramatic yearly reduction can be easily achieved with the Wii U Nintendo titles that will most likely be released this fiscal year (Star Fox, Zelda, Mario & Sonic, Tokyo Mirage Sessions, Project Giant Robot, and Paper Mario) along with the anchors that can achieve 1+ million each like Splatoon, Mario Maker, Mario Kart, and Smash Bros...and whatever remains of Nintendo's third-party lineup.

It does not indicate a new, major release besides what has already been announced. Certainly not anything that Nintendo believes will be a Million-seller.

I don't see how three or more unannounced Wii U first-party games could fit into such a small software forecast by Nintendo....maybe a remaster? But certainly not anything like a new Animal Crossing.

For reference:

Sales history:

November 2012 - March 2013: 13.42 million units of Wii U software

April 2013 - March 2014: 18.86 million units of Wii U software

April 2014 - March 2015: 24.40 million units of Wii U software

April 2015 - March 2016: 27.36 million units of Wii U software

Forecast:

April 2016 - March 2017: 15.00 million units of Wii U software
