This was a bad contest.

Only those that said "early 2017" are actually correct, those that said "holiday 2017" were more wrong than those that said "holiday 2016". Predicting only the year is a cop-out. Most of the 2017 team, the "holiday" people especially, only won due to technicalities, not because their reasoning was right. 2016's actually was, but 'lost' because someone decided to look at calender years instead of fiscal years. So the way this was set up, you could be right by being wrong and the other way around. Having said that, nowhere is it made clear that people made actual bets, or did they actually agree upon them, I'm with Teeqoz, StarOcean and Rol on that one, so no one's obligated to do anything about their avatar's of any kind.

But yeah, not the best parameters, I wish I knew about it sooner.
