One, maybe two tops. Zero is also not out of the question, but they may do a minor release or two for the holiday.
It is safe to say that everything relevant will be for the NX though. There are two things the NX needs to he successful. A strong first party exclusive line up out of the gate for one. The NX cannot, and does not need to, take down the beast that is the PS4. What they need to do is offer enough exclusive content that a Playstation gamer cannot get anywhere else to convince people that even if you have a PS4, the NX is worth having as well.
As far as third party support goes, ports are all fine and dandy, but what I would like to see is more third party exclusive titles contracted by Nintendo (similar to Bayonetta). This on top of their first party line up will make it a must own console for anyone. The X1 and PS4 are already too similar, that is a major weakness of the X1. We don't need another console offering the same stuff. Of course make it easy to port for multiplats for big releases like Cyberpunk, Elder Scrolls CoD, etc, but exclusives will make the NX a success. Unlike MS, they have a heavy first party presence already. If they add more 3rd party exclusive support to the console, thats a rap.
Nintendo is still sitting very high in the cash department, they can afford this move for a huge payout. It is arguable that financially they are the strongest of the 3. MS is strong as a parent, but llXBox is bleeding money. Playstation is making good money, but Sony drags the profits down. Nintendo however is just plain healthy all around, but they need to win back core gamers before their money does dry up.
Wow way off topic...but what I say rings true.
