I 100% disagree. No gimmicks, it will fail.
Even the wii was in the long run for many customer a dissapointment. Many got that system, played some wii sports and mario kart but after just few month they never used the system again. Thats also one of the main reason the wii u failed, people recognised that gimmicks wont do it in the long run.
Also we already have something the Ps4 probl can do in 2017 and the NX cant and thats VR. Im still curios how VR will do though scince i have the feeling it will be similar as the wii. Cool for some weeks, but then forgetable and more annyoing then enjoyable. Thats the thing with all those gimmicks. A standart controller and one screen on your tv is the perfect gaming setup.
Gamers dont wont anything else. They dont want innovations. Look at star fox zero. the main complainment is, that its different then the n64 version.
