Do you think so? I invested dozens of hours in the Nintendo 64 title and the replayability came mostly from mastering the levels (getting all the rings, destroying all the enemies, etc.) to earn medals and opening alternative paths (multiplayer wasn't really that good). For what I've seen, it's the same here: you go back to the levels to do better than in your first visits and to find the alternative routes to other planets or sections (by completing certain requierements). Isn't that the same Starfox 64 offered?

Not really. This time, the alternative routes are mostly found through specific events that were unavailable on your first playthrough, and they all lead to only bonus levels that take like 2 minutes to be done, and are nothing special, really (there is, however, one alternate route with a full-blown mission coming from Sector Beta). You can tell they just made up the 8 bonus levels as quickly as they could during development to try and make the game feel more like a complete Star Fox experience.

It's still fun to unlock them all and collect all the medals, but it's nowhere near as awesome as finding all the levels and different paths (and full ending!) in Star Fox 64... and because there are only 2 paths that go exclusively through awesome, full-blown levels, the replayability is a bit hampered.

At first I was on the fence about whether Zero could overtake 64 as my favorite Star Fox, but now I'm 100% sure it's not on the same level. Still an awesome game, though.

Oh, thanks for clarifying, I know what to expect now  =)

Still having a lot of fun, and still a great gameplay experience (hope the next improves this and does not flirt with experiments like Adventures and Assault  =P  ).
