The NX will not release for holiday 2016. So its first holiday will be 2017. And no, it's not "clearly the intention" of holiday 2016. If their intention had been to release it in 2016, they would have announced Zelda NX before now, and they would have gotten dev kits, etc, out earlier.

They released a Zelda trailer that said "2016" pretty clearly not that long ago, so it seems like the delay was last minute to me. Unless they decided to port the game only recently which I find unlikely.

Anyway, this was a pretty stupid contest then, if the cut-off point was January 1st, because Q1 in 2017 is closer to 2016 than it is to it's holiday and even still belongs to the previous fiscal year as well. The 2017 crowd didn't win, they got lucky.
