Casual Wii U owners (yes they exist) will probably be pissed if there are no games this holiday and a brand new system is out on March that has the Zelda game that was obviously delayed for it.
This is just like the Wii --> Wii U transition. Horrible momentum at the end of one console leading to horrible sales after the first month.
