Usually in the UK sites pack and process orders before release date due to massive demand and leave them all ready to be collected but don't actually post them out. I've had many games processed an then shipped status a week before release but still only received them the day before release.
On the topic of breaking a games release date, Is there any sort of agreement with publishers/stores to stop that that could warrant big fines if Amazon have actually broke the release date?
