The yearly subscription also gives free 2 day shipping, 20% off new games (so you pay 48 instead of 60 per game), and has streaming options for music, video, etc. The fact that they are hiding some games behind Prime is stupid, absoutely. However, if you are the type of person who buys a game a month new, the savings on the games already pays for Prime. And you get all the other benefits.
