I like it! :P. I don't really care about reviews as long as I enjoy it. I knew the game was going to be divisive, so I'm not surprised about the reactions. Controls seem to be the main problem. Well, I think there are part of the games which would be nearly impossible without the second screen, so I won't count on them updating the game XD. I remember being shocked the first time I've tried gyro controls in Splaton, Wiimote motion controls... Hell, even the first time I've tried a joystick! I think the process of adjusting to a new control scheme is... natural. |
Oh yeah. I did NOT like motion controls in Splatoon at all. Then I played a little more and loved them. When I switched back to analog controls they felt unresponsive and awkward.
@OP: I'm having a blast with Zero and Guard. But I get that the control scheme could be a turn off for some fans. It's too bad, because I think there's a great game there and GamePad integration only makes it more fun and immersive - which is ultimately what I want from a game. But, hey, I get it. Some critics and consumers rejected Skyward Sword because of motion controls. A lot of gamers pooh-poohed Donkey Kong Country Returns for the same reason. I even remember a user here who couldn't get past Metroid Prime's lack of dual analog so he never finished it. It's tough to make everyone happy all of the time.
